“Coming out” as in letting yourself be known as gay is not easy. You often hear of the first time someone tells their parents or openly admits for the first time that they are gay. What is that moment other than a way for others to make judgments. “When she changed her mind.” “When she stopped lying.” “When she gave up on men.” “When she decided to be a lesbian.” “When she wanted to try something new.” But coming out is not a moment in time; it is not a decision made. It is a process of growth and understanding and it never seems to end.
This is my coming out story.
